Transform
Transform is an initial series of exploration related to the ongoing negotiations of individual and cultural identity between self and family, in particular with my relationship with my sister.
My personalised power suits fabricated using belongings my sister passed on to me, were used to represent my relationship with my sister and the displaced emotions towards my family through sculpture objects. They were being developed to adjust negative emotions, make shifts in relationship and empower self. Transform I & II are studies of emotional engagement through self-created Super hero image. They also explore the relationship of sculpture objects as transformed and charged objects. |
