Between Heaven and Earth reveals Chan’s constant reconnections with her late grandmother who she used to nurse, by communicating her daily challenges and struggles she needs to go through in this sacred space.

Digital prints and video, documenting Chan working in her studio space and engaging with the clothing of her late grandmother, were imbedded in sculptures in cooperated with her late grandmother's clothing's. This multimedia installation delivers a communion space for Chan and her late grandmother as she asked for prayers and shared her feelings in the pursuit of happiness. 

It is a divine space where Chan could continue to find comfort and strength through her loved ones.
