Be With Me articulates personal emotions of fear & longing in the journey of transition – a journey Chan does not wish to be alone. This installation featured the sound conversation of a video artwork by Chan, titled Skyping Sister II. The sound piece was removed, relocated and embedded in a series of fictitious sculptures abstracted from her personalized powersuits presented in this work. It is transmitted in soft volume that encourages an intimate encounter physically and psychologically, radiating the warmth Chan shares and desires. |
